Over half (56.3%) patients had positive clinical responses, measured by provider assessment. Among these, 44.4% reduction number ulcers, 22.2% decrease frequency ulcer eruptions, remainder unspecified improvement. Mean dosing was 9 mg daily, range 4-10 mg. 4-5 prescribed pediatric patients;10 all others aged 15 older. While 10% aforementioned RCT reported side effect diarrhea from montelukast, none our any effects, despite mean therapy duration 455.4 days (measured encounter dates). We unable determine an accurate time response due longer durations between without specific documentation response. The active months. demonstrates lasting as at last related encounter. further strengthens support safe effective option recalcitrant both Montelukast minimal even long duration, other systemic medications used management. Further studies recurrence rate cessation warranted.
